About the event

Have you been looking for a way to incorporate your nurturing spirit with the miracle of pregnancy and birth?

Join us in a gorgeous, historic home surrounded by nature, for this doula workshop & retreat weekend in the Cape Cod area, just south of Boston, Mass.  There is no better time to experience the Northeast Fall Foliage than this weekend!  Connect with nature and like-minded women for this unique opportunity.

This is bucket list stuff, ladies!!

Only 7 spots are available.  This is an exclusive experience for a select few, serious women who want to take the next step in both career and self-care.  Stay and Meals are included in the price of enrollment.

Imagine a fulfilling career supporting mothers through pregnancy, childbirth, and then with breastfeeding their newborn!  You can make such an impact on the world, and future generations!  Mothers crave this non-judgmental, nurturing support, and you bring your open heart to give it.  Maybe you find yourself naturally drawn to this kind of caring for others?  Now is the time to pursue those dreams and make doing this as your career, a reality!  You can do something so natural, while blessing your family financially.  There is no better way to fulfill your calling.

It makes so much more sense to take all 3 certifications at once:

It is better for your clients - You will have the ability to provide well-rounded care for each family, from pregnancy, through birth, postpartum and breastfeeding.  They can reach you easily.  You have a relationship with them.  They already trust you.  You know their story, and can see the bigger picture.  You won't have to refer them out to other caregivers when you can help them yourself - which they will prefer!!

It is better for your own business - You will have the ability to provide care in more aspects for each family, rather than lose that income to a referral.  You will be speaking to your target market already, and can sell more inclusive packages for higher income.  Your initial marketing will stand head and shoulders above others in the industry because you have more to offer, which families choose over someone who does not.  Your extended wisdom will enable you to become the "go to" person for your clients and that will automatically generate more word of mouth advertising among the community you serve.

Your trainer has 6 children of her own, with 3 hospital and 3 home births (2 of which were unintentionally unassisted).  She has been a doula for over 25 years and has created and built multiple 6-figure birth and postpartum care agencies in 3 different cities.  Her humor, hands-on teaching techniques and gripping story-telling will help you to remember the lessons that you can't learn from a book!

At this relaxing and fun workshop, we will focus on you!  We talk you through start to finish, how to find clients, secure contracts and support those families through every twist and turn to a happy end of your care.  We'll also teach you how to "exit interview" in a way that will bring in free, word of mouth marketing for you for years to come.

During the 3 day weekend, we will participate in many individual and group activities, including but not limited to:

  • Guided meditation with birth and trauma-informed breathing practice, to really feel what's deep inside your body and heal your mind,

  • EpiDoula Learning Focus - Specific, vital skills to assist you in reducing complications, including c-section when supporting clients who utilize epidural pain relief

  • Somatic, individualized, therapeutic movement which will clear blockages and support your balanced chakras

  • Close your eyes and benefit from special birth-related aromatherapy as you learn about essential oils,

  • Relax your body and your mind with new, labor specific massage techniques,

  • Drink detoxifying teas and nourish your body with vegetarian, healthy and low carb lunches,

  • Think through trouble shooting and brainstorm ways to deal with difficult situations before you encounter them, and work on deeply transformative personal introspections about your own life calling

  • Your ability to provide amazing service to your clients and prioritize self-care will come into balance.

  • You will practice gentle movement to keep your body awake and your mind alert throughout the weekend

  • Welcome new and unique techniques only taught in our workshops such as how to utilize the Hawaiian "Ha" or breathe of life in your practice.  Another very special technique you'll find indispensable, is learning the baby rotation hula :) from our island loving trainer.
