The short answer is YES!
We are an International Board Certification Program. We provide the highest standard of credentialing that can be achieved within an unregulated industry.
It is absolutely amazing to me, every time I get a call and someone says to me that another doula training organization told them that we don't provide certification.
What? LOL
But it's true. It happens. There are people out there telling potential students that they are the ONLY way to get credentialed. This is not true. Plain and simple.
Now, let me explain something. We won't be for everyone. We realize this and we aren't even mad about it. Y'all have a lot of choices. There are larger organizations, smaller ones, and everything in between. There are free-birth, high spirited groups who totally appeal to my hippy soul. And there are other groups out there who are super medical minded and will align themselves with the medical model of care every time. There are organizations out there who provide their own version of credentials and there are groups who don't provide anything at all but a wonderful education.
It is up to you to decide who feels right to you.
We strive to be balanced and provide a comprehensive, midwifery model of care philosophy. We provide a lot deeper education and more technical than most organizations out there. We also want you to understand the medical side of things so that you can navigate that world with your clients, if you happen to find yourself there.
